Your new role
As an HGV Mechanic, you'll carry out inspection, maintenance and repair work on a diverse fleet including HGVs, LGVs, plant equipment and specialist municipal vehicles. You'll ensure all vehicles meet statutory compliance, safety standards and operational readiness.Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting routine servicing, MOT preparation and safety inspections
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
• Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and local authority standards
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workshop environment

What you'll need to succeed

• Time-served HGV Mechanic / Vehicle Technician (or equivalent)
• Experience working on HGVs and/or municipal fleet vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach and ability to work independently
• HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
