Duties and responsibilities of the Marine Engineer:
- Inboard & outboard engines
- Engine controls & electrical systems
- Gearboxes, stern drives, IPS & stern gear
- Generators, pumps, fuel tanks & systems
- Thrusters, hydraulics, lifting & stropping
- Sea trials and diagnostics
- Manage your own workload efficiently
- Complete timesheets and maintain service records (often online)
- Use electronic parts catalogues to identify and order parts
- Liaise directly with customers, providing updates and top-level service
- Respond to enquiries with professionalism and technical expertise
Qualifications and requirement for the Marine Engineer:
- Marine Engineering Qualification desirable
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic IT Skills.
- A commitment to high standards and customer satisfaction
- A \"go the extra mile\" attitude to keep customers returning.
Desirable but not necessary:
- Forklift licence
- Manual handling
- VHF
- Main dealer / manufacturing training. xwzovoh
- Powerboat level 2
