This is a full-time role for RQA's Head of Business Development. The successful candidate will oversee business development initiatives, including identifying and closing your own sales and new business prospects, cultivating relationships with clients / prospects and driving sales and account management strategies.

Along with a salary to reflect the successful candidate's attributes and the commission on sales, RQA Group is an Employee Ownership Trust. Key skills
- Proven track record in successful business development and sales for a consultancy, training, auditing firm or other similar organisation (e.g. laboratory operation).
- Experience in developing and executing growth strategies and sales plans.
- Negotiation with C-suite related to fees and complex project contracts.
- Highly experienced and comfortable in handling and running client and account management meetings with a range of client types at management and board levels.
- An understanding of client issues and their business risks
- Line management experience.
- Well established contacts network within relevant industries.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Well organised and ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple tasks at the same time.
- Experience in presenting at industry meetings and conferences.
- Knowledge of the issues facing the food / consumer / automotive / pharma products industries relating to product risk and wider businesses and international issues.
- Fluent English – other languages not essential but could be helpful.
- High level of attention to detail in all work outputs.
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office package and other relevant systems.
Location
The role can be home based or hybrid and ideally, the successful candidate will be within about 1 hour travel from central London as there will be reasonably regular client meetings in the City. Similar proximity to the RQA Reading office would also be helpful, although not essential. xwzovoh
There will be some travel in this role but it will not be excessive and long haul will be very rare.
