Upholsterer

Talent Link Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Upholsterer to join a busy workshop team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Upholsterer with strong technical experience across modern, traditional, semi-traditional, and contemporary upholstery methods. The role would suit someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, has excellent attention to detail, and is confident working across a variety of upholstery projects. The successful candidate will be involved in producing, repairing, and finishing upholstered pieces to a high standard, working with fabrics, leather, foam, springs, horsehair, and other upholstery materials. The role will include: * Carrying out modern foam upholstery and traditional upholstery work * Working with springs, horsehair, foam, fabrics, and leather * Making templates for upholstery work * Cutting fabrics and leather accurately * Carrying out hand sewing and finishing work * Making stretched covers * Covering and upholstering pieces to a high standard * Working with a range of upholstery techniques and materials * Maintaining strong attention to detail and quality throughout each project We are looking for an Upholsterer who: * Has strong professional upholstery experience * Is confident in traditional, semi-traditional, modern, and contemporary upholstery techniques * Has excellent technical skills in cutting, hand sewing, covering, and finishing * Has a good understanding of fabrics, leather, and upholstery materials * Can work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop environment * Takes pride in producing high-quality work * Can communicate effectively in English * Is reliable, practical, and committed to maintaining high standards The ideal candidate will have significant hands-on upholstery experience and be confident working independently on technical upholstery tasks.
