Newly Qualified – Level 3  Locations: Carlisle (Field‑Based) Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + bonus Contract: Full‑time, Permanent Overview Venatu Technical Support (VTS) is seeking a newly qualified Field Service Engineer who is looking to start and build a long‑term career within specialist engineering services. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently achieved a Level 3 qualification and is eager to learn on the job while working to the highest professional standards. You will support prestigious clients across the UK bus and coach sector, working primarily across the North of England and Scotland. The role offers hands‑on experience, structured support, and exposure to modern vehicle technologies while representing VTS on client sites. About Venatu Technical Support (VTS) Venatu Technical Support provides specialist engineering support to the UK bus and coach industry. We work with leading operators and manufacturers, delivering high‑quality service, repair, and diagnostic support across traditional and emerging vehicle technologies including electrification, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell, and emissions control. The Role As a Field Service Engineer, you will attend client sites to support service, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic activities. This role is designed for an early‑career engineer who wants to gain practical field experience while being supported by experienced colleagues. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out service, repair, and maintenance work to client specifications Supporting diagnostic and fault‑finding activities Working safely and professionally on client sites Maintaining strong working relationships with client teams Learning and developing technical skills through hands‑on experience and training Representing VTS to the highest standards at all times What We’re Looking For Essential requirements: Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance or a related discipline Newly qualified or early‑career engineers are encouraged to apply Full UK driving licence Willingness to travel across client sites Based in or around Scotland or the North West Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards Professional attitude with good communication skills Driving requirement: A full UK driving licence is essential. Due to company vehicle insurance requirements, the successful applicant must meet the insurer’s eligibility criteria (typically aged 25 or over).
