Grounds Maintenance Operative

JOB TITLE:      Grounds Maintenance Operative LOCATION:    Bracknell SALARY:          £13.45hr  DURATION:   12 weeks initially to go to Perm The Employer: We are looking to fill the role of a Grounds Maintenance Operative within a housing environment, Our client is one of the largest Social |Housing providers in the South of England, they are ambitious and have a huge 5 year plan which we are seeking a GMO to assist with, their main aim is to create a sustainable future for social housing, building new homes and investing in existing ones creating vibrant, thriving communities. The Role: Responsible for the delivery of the Grounds Maintenance service to the communal areas of our clients managed estates Responsible for the upkeep of the external communal areas, grass, shrubs and hedges AND soft landscaping/minor tree work Using a PDA Reporting system to record site visits and record tasks carried out To include grass cutting, hedge cutting, pruning, weed control, litter picking, and other works Ensuring that equipment is regularly washed, kept clean and in good condition and report any defects to the supervisor. Assisting all other trades as and when required ensuring that residents/customers receive a high-quality service The Candidate needs: Experience in a similar role or trade background, preferably with experience of Grounds Maintenance. Knowledge and skills in the use of both mechanical & hand tools used in grounds maintenance operations An understanding of customer needs and ability to think quickly when needed To behave in a courteous and professional manner Great communication skills A clean Driving Licence (with towing ability DESIRABLE) Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable, but not essential) NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable, but not essential) SUMMARY: This is a Full time role, working a 40 hour week over 5 days. The role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
