About the role
Are you an experienced automotive professional with a passion for classic and vintage vehicles? Our client, a well-established independent workshop specialising in classic and vintage cars, is seeking a highly skilled Classic Car Technician to join their dedicated team. Close collaboration with enthusiasts, Porsche GB, and clubs, providing a unique workplace experienceDuties of a Classic Car Technician:
Servicing and repairing classic and vintage cars, primarily from the 70s, 80s, and 90s
Conducting routine maintenance and mechanical diagnostics with attention to detail
Engine rebuilding and thorough fault diagnosis to ensure vehicle performance
Assisting in restoration projects, excluding bodywork components
Providing expert advice and support to customers and club members as a Classic Car Technician
Working methodically on multiple vehicle projects simultaneously
Ensuring high standards of workmanship in all tasks performedRequirements of a Classic Car Technician:
At least 10 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in automotive repair
Proven background working with classic or specialised vehicles, ideally Porsche
Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in engine rebuilds and routine servicing
Ability to work independently and methodically, maintaining excellent attention to detail
Capable of managing multiple projects with patience and precision
Experience with other brands such as Ford or similar is acceptable, provided automotive competence and a sensible approach
