Mechanical Supervisor

Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor for a long-term contract role based in Hardham, West Sussex. This role will be working on a large clean water project in Pulborough (RH20 1LA), involving significant mechanical installation works, including pipework up to approximately 800mm. Our client is a well-established contractor delivering major infrastructure projects. Due to ongoing project demands, they are looking to bring in an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support site operations. Pay: £280.00-£300.00 per day This is a hands-on, working supervisor role, ideal for someone who can lead a small team while remaining actively involved in installation work. The Role: * Supervise and lead a team of mechanical pipefitters on site * Carry out hands-on mechanical installation work * Read and interpret technical drawings to support installation * Install and oversee large-scale pipework systems (up to 800mm) * Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures * Coordinate daily activities to maintain productivity and workflow * Work collaboratively with other trades and site management teams Essential Requirements: * Proven experience in mechanical installation (pipework essential) * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Experience leading or supervising teams on site * Strong understanding of health & safety procedures * Mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred) * CSCS card (preferred) Desirable: * SSSTS or SMSTS (not essential) * Experience working on water treatment or clean water sites * Water Hygiene certification (can be provided if required) Package: * Long-term contract (running through most of 2026) * Opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project * Professional and well-managed site environment Schedule: * Full-time hours * Monday to Friday * Site hours to be confirmed
