About the role

Due to increased global growth, our client a recognized player within the Freight Forwarding and Transportation industry, are looking for a Logistics Operator to join their Logistics Department in Manchester. On Offer: * Monday – Friday working pattern, 8.30am-5.30pm. 40 hrs per week. * Salary up to £28,000 per annum, DOE * Competitive bonus structure based on results and company growth * 20 days annual leave + Public holidays. Holiday loyalty days up to a maximum of 5 days (1 additional day on the anniversary of the date you joined. * Confidential EAP platform for you and your immediate family members as spouse/partners and children aged 16 to 24 in full-time education, living in the same household * Access to Employee Discounts and Benefits, which includes Grocery Shopping, Holidays, Movies, Sports, Wellness and many more * Death in Service equal to three times your annual salary / Private Medical Scheme (application process required) * After one year’s service company contributions increase 9% for the Group personal Pension Plan Duties and Responsibilities of the Logistics Operator: * To work as a link between the freight forwarding & warehouse operations team. * Prepare manual or scanned entry packing lists. * Prepare orders for dispatch. * Prepare weekly stock checks. * Ensure all orders are ordered and booked accurately. * Accountable for looking after customer’s specific requirements. * Produce and send packing lists to customers and enter on to iMove where applicable. * Ensure customer record reporting is kept up to date at all times and effective customer communication is maintained. * Arrange deliveries for storage accounts. * Create monthly invoices for storage accounts. * Record stock locations and work closely with Warehouse Assistants to ensure goods are correctly located. * Manage Key Accounts where required. * Propose new ideas to reduce costs and improve efficiency. * Maintain at all times high standards of personal Quality, Health & Safety and professionalism, and actively promote all Company policies and procedures.
