About the role
GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful and well-established manufacturing business located in the Hereford area. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Process Improvement Lead to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
This position is working 37.5 hours per week and offers a salary of £40,000 per annum depending on relevant experience.
You will be responsible for leading manufacturing improvement initiatives across production, quality and safety processes, driving efficiency, consistency and operational excellence throughout the business.
Process Improvement Lead main duties:
* Leading improvement projects to reduce product variability through process standardisation and procedural control.
* Providing support to manufacturing departments with the implementation of improved processes.
* Developing, maintaining and evaluating manufacturing metrics to identify areas for improvement.
* Applying process improvement principles across the business, working closely with production teams to identify, develop and implement change.
* Conducting advanced troubleshooting and training others to identify areas of non-compliance in systems and processes.
* Leading continuous improvement programmes to enhance quality capability and customer satisfaction.
* Managing the introduction of new products from design stage into manufacturing.
Process Improvement Lead required skills and experience:
* Strong industrial experience in delivering technical solutions within a manufacturing environment.
* Practical knowledge of Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
* Strong understanding of ISO and BSI systems and processes.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to drive change and implement continuous improvement plans effectively.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Additional skills / areas for development:
* Leadership and facilitation skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and data visualisation tools for process mapping.
* Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt).
* Project Management PRINCE2 (or equivalent level).
* ILM Level 5 qualification.
