Brief description:
A high-achieving secondary school in East London is seeking a Geography Teacher to join a well-structured humanities department within a supportive, ambitious and inclusive environment.
About the school:
The school is a large, oversubscribed 11-16 secondary academy serving a diverse local community. It has a strong reputation for pupil progress, high expectations and positive behaviour. Students are taught across two permanent sites which operate as smaller learning communities, supporting strong pastoral relationships. About the role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, contributing to curriculum development and supporting strong outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team with clear routines, shared resources and high aspirations for every learner.
We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
Teach Geography at KS3 and KS4
Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons
Track pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly
Contribute positively to the wider school community
Uphold high expectations for behaviour and achievementRequirements -
The ideal candidate would have:
QTS or be an ECT
Strong subject knowledge in Geography
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
A commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding
