Engineering Shift Manager

Are you an existing Engineering Shift Manager, Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader looking for a new challenge with an established and growing food manufacturer? Our client, an international leader in their field. They're currently undergoing an exciting period of investment and seeking a proactive Engineering Shift Manager to lead, develop and motivate a shift engineering team made up of an Engineering Team Leader and Multi-skilled Engineers. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead from the front, ensuring production continuity and the safe, efficient operation of site assets. Key responsibilities: * Lead and develop the shift engineering team to maximise OEE and equipment reliability * Ensure rapid response to breakdowns, minimising downtime and production disruption * Plan and deliver PPM activities to a high standard * Work closely with production and technical teams to maintain plant performance and product quality * Support continuous improvement initiatives alongside asset care and projects teams * Manage key engineering KPIs including downtime, PPM completion and response times The ideal candidate: * Time-served and qualified (minimum Level 3) in a relevant engineering discipline * Experience in a leadership role such as Engineering Shift Manager, Supervisor or Team Leader * Background in fast-paced FMCG environments (food, drink, packaging, pharma or similar) * Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding and repair capability * Experience using CMMS systems (e.g. Shire, Pirana, Holistic, etc.) * Strong communicator with a proactive, hands-on leadership style You will be joining an experienced engineering team, managed by a down to earth, conscientious and professional leadership team within a robust company.
