You will be involved in both design delivery and technical reporting, working closely with clients, project teams and stakeholders.Producing drainage designs to support planning applications and construction projects across residential, industrial, retail and mixed-use developmentsPreparing technical reports, assessments and supporting documentation for planning and regulatory submissionsUndertaking flood risk assessments and supporting the development of flood mitigation solutionsDeveloping sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS) and drainage strategies in line with project requirementsPreparing technical calculations, drawings and design informationLiaising with clients, local authorities, contractors and multidisciplinary project teamsSupporting projects from initial feasibility through to detailed design and construction stagesContributing to the delivery of innovative and sustainable engineering solutionsWhat you will need to succeed as Flood Risk / Drainage Engineer To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, Hydrology or a related disciplineExperience delivering drainage design, flood risk assessments or related water management projectsApproximately 5 years' post-graduate experience preferred, although candidates with strong relevant experience will be consideredExperience preparing technical reports and supporting planning or construction submissionsGood understanding of drainage principles, flood risk management and sustainable development solutionsExperience with relevant design software packages would be advantageousAdditional requirements:Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage technical outputs and meet project deadlinesA collaborative approach with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teamsA proactive attitude with an interest in developing technical expertiseWhat's in it for you?
