Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Romford area

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or someone with relevant childcare, youth work or care experience who is looking to develop their career within education.

The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEND team to provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
Supporting pupils with their learning, development and engagement in lessons
Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive relationships
Supporting pupils with communication, social and emotional development
Implementing individual learning and support strategies
Working alongside teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils receive appropriate support
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and key life skills
