Quantity Surveyor

Vision Personnel are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a well-established, family-run main contractor based in Northeast London. Following a significant increase in workload and a number of new contract wins, the business is looking to strengthen its commercial function. Specialising in fit out and refurbishment, they have a strong pipeline of projects across both internals and externals. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a close-knit team where their contribution will have real impact. The Role Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of the commercial function across a number of live projects, managing costs from inception through to final account. Responsibilities •Preparing and managing detailed cost plans, budgets, and valuations •Procuring and managing subcontractors, including letting and administering subcontracts •Submitting and agreeing interim applications for payment •Managing variations and change control throughout the project lifecycle •Preparing and agreeing final accounts •Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and the wider project team •Attending progress and commercial meetings on site and in office •Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and flagging any commercial risks early Requirements •Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit out, refurbishment, or a related sector •Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and management •Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously •Excellent communication and negotiation skills •Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (desirable) We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation
