Initial 12 Month Contract

Basingstoke – 12 days per month working from home

PAYE set up – Inside IR35

A Senior Subsea Structure and Tie-in Engineer is required to support the companies worldwide offshore deepwater projects. They will support all the engineering activities related to subsea structure and tie-in systems in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within the group.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

As the Senior Subsea Structures & Tie-In Engineer, you will prepare and complete large EPCI contracts for Offshore Projects for the subsea structure and tie-in systems in all the Project phases (Feasibility & Conceptual Study, Front End Engineering Design, Call for Tender, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Testing, Installation, Commissioning).
To ensure that the design of subsea structure and tie-in systems meets Project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices while reducing project costs and risks.
As the Senior Subsea Structures & Tie-In Engineer, you will prepare all the technical documentation related to subsea structure and tie-in systems during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation.
To follow up supplier call for tender & selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.).
To review and approve FEED, Tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
To act as the Company Representative for all activities related to subsea structure and tie-in systems during fabrication, testing, interfacing with other systems, packing and load-out activities
As the Senior Subsea Structures & Tie-In Engineer, you will act as the Company Representative for all activities related to subsea structures and tie-in systems during Offshore operations (support to Installation, Commissioning, and start-up activities).
To have an extensive awareness of design standards requirements for subsea structure and tie-in systems
To correctly apply Company internal standards and HSEQ policies.
Teamwork and collaboration with other colleagues in the Subsea Systems department, as well as with other disciplines, will be required.

Required experience

Extensive experience as a Subsea Structure and tie-in Engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
As the Senior Subsea Structures & Tie-In Engineer, you will have experience in the technical design of the subsea structures such as Manifolds/PLEMs, PLETs/ILTs, PLRs etc. and tie-in systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design, with knowledge of the main subsea and installation interfaces.
As the Senior Subsea Structures & Tie-In Engineer, you will have experience in Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID’s, Risk Assessment.
Experience in supervising Contractors and Vendors equipment and deliverables.

Experience in being able to support Projects onshore and offshore testing – FAT, SIT and pre-commissioning/ installation/ commissioning activities.
Experience as Company Representative for subsea structures and tie-in systems.
Full Knowledge of all applicable codes, international standards and engineering best practices for subsea structures and tie-in systems.

Minimum BS Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with respect to subsea structures and tie-in systems from preliminary engineering through detailed design.
Knowledge and experience with Finite Element Analysis software like Ansys, Abaqus and COSMOSWorks.
Knowledge and experience with subsea structural analysis software like SACS and SESAM. xwzovoh
