Are you a visionary technical leader ready to shape strategy, influence at board level, and drive excellence across a dynamic food business? This is a standout opportunity for a Head of Technical to take full ownership of food safety, quality and compliance, while elevating standards across a multi-site, fast-paced environment.
- Set and deliver the group-wide technical strategy, aligning food safety, quality, legality and compliance with business growth, customer expectations and regulatory demands.
- Champion a best-in-class food safety culture, embedding right-first-time principles, accountability and continuous improvement across all sites and functions.
- Lead and evolve technical systems and governance, enhancing traceability, HACCP, allergen control and compliance with UK/EU legislation and standards such as BRCGS.
- Act as the senior technical voice for customers and stakeholders, building influential relationships and representing the business during audits, inspections and industry forums.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, partnering with Commercial, NPD, Operations and Supply Chain teams to deliver innovative, compliant and commercially viable solutions.
- Inspire and develop high-performing technical teams, fostering a coaching-led, inclusive culture that supports growth, engagement and succession planning.
- Oversee incident management and risk mitigation, leading root cause analysis and implementing robust corrective actions to protect brand integrity.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a senior technical role within food manufacturing, FMCG or hospitality/events
- Strong expertise in food safety systems, quality management and supply chain compliance (e.g. HACCP, BRCGS, ISO standards)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-site or cross-functional technical teams and drive cultural change
- Broad knowledge of compliance including food safety, sustainability, supplier assurance and customer standard
