Senior Management Accountant
We’re recruiting a Senior Management Accountant to play a pivotal role within a high‑performing team. This is a hands‑on, technically strong position that sits at the heart of month‑end close and financial reporting, working closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider business.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality financial outputs, driving improvements to month‑end processes, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial information. The role offers significant exposure across teams and the opportunity to influence change in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports, analysis, and commentary to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GAAP principles, and internal policies.
Support and help drive improvements to month‑end accounting processes, accelerating close timelines while maintaining strong controls.
Challenge and redefine balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are fully supported and differences resolved promptly.
Identify risks and opportunities within balance sheet and control account activity.
Maintain a detailed understanding of source data, systems, and financial information flows into the financial statements.
Assess the accounting impact of operational and system changes, ensuring correct and up‑to‑date posting logic.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including documenting procedures and producing clear process maps.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines.
Support change initiatives and embed new or refined processes into existing teams.About You
You’ll be a confident, technically strong accountant with a proactive mindset and a passion for improving processes and controls.
You will have:
ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified, part-qualified or QBE.
Experience in a medium to large organisation.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levelsWhy Join?
