Client Summary:
A leading global manufacturer of specialist equipment and machinery.
Position Summary:
Sole responsibility for the day to day management of the assembly production area. Ensuring
punctual delivery of machinery by driving incoming material flow as per the schedule.
Organising and ensuring the efficient operation of the assembly line in terms of Safety, Quality, labour performance, Delivery & cost.
Roles can include:
- Oversight and management of Assembly Teams within main production area.
- Prevention and reduction of assembly line stoppage. Including managing incoming
material flow.
- Ensure workstation readiness across the floor.
- Tracking and monitoring performance of assembly line output, including maintaining the
work standards and continuously improving the assembly process.
- Managing KPIs including - Ensuring output is aligned to Production Forecast and scrap /
rework is in line with budgets. As well as managing and reducing production costs and
expenses.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure key targets are met including quality and
safety standards.
- Monitoring manpower requirements
- Overseeing and ensuring relevant Quality Standards and Practices are enforced.
Including implementing quality improvements, striving for First Time Quality and zero
defects.
- Undertaking and managing team meetings/briefings, grievances, staff development as
well as resolving and preventing health and safety issues.
- Managing and resolving technical / material quality issues affecting assembly team
performance.
- Enforcing 5S housekeeping standards on Assembly Floor.

Qualifications:
- Driving Licence
- Degree or Diploma in relevant Engineering or Manufacturing Discipline
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Management and/or supervisory experience of a minimum of 3 years
