Service Engineer Compressed Air & Gas Systems

Bedford Full Time, Permanent Monday to Friday (Days) £35,000 £41,000 per annum
25 days holiday + BH, Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme
Our client, a well-established engineering service provider, is seeking a Service Engineer to support the maintenance, servicing and installation of compressed air and gas generation systems across a range of industrial environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically skilled engineer to join a business offering varied work, strong support and ongoing development.
The Role
Reporting into the Engineering team, you will be responsible for:
Service and commissioning of industrial equipment including dryers, chillers and gas generation systems
Maintenance and repair of compressed air systems and associated equipment
Fault finding, diagnosis and technical investigation across a range of plant
Installation and upgrade work on customer sites
Supporting wider engineering teams across the UK when required
Providing clear technical feedback and updates to customers
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company and safety standards
This is a field-based role, covering Bedford and surrounding regions. xwzovoh
What Were Looking For
Essential:
Mechanical and electrical engineering experience
Proven service / maintenance background
Strong fault finding and problem-solving ability
Experience working on industrial equipment
Ability to work independently in a field-based role
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience with compressed air, refrigeration or gas systems (e.g. compressors, dryers, chillers, nitrogen or hydrogen systems)
Engineering qualification or apprenticeship
Experience using service reporting systems or Office-based tools
