Learning Support Assistant Required for School based in Mid Sussex
Engage Education is working with a secondary school in Mid Sussex recruit a learning support assistant. The school is accessible by public transport and focuses on providing nurturing support for their learners.
Applications for the position are welcome from candidates with a range of experience, although previous experience working with primary age students is an advantage.
This role will be working 1:1 with a range of children with differing needs, including Autism and ADHD.
If you are a future/aspiring teacher, or an experienced SEN teaching assistant this opportunity could be ideal for you. In addition, if you are passionate about working with children or have experience as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor and you are interested in education, please do apply.
This role is to start in September 2026
You will:
- Have experience working with students aged 5-11 or 11-16
- Be confident managing behaviour
- Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with students
- Have a fun but firm presence
- Have an interest in education
