Ganger

VGC Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Ganger to join a project based in OX18, Oxford. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and hard-working Ganger looking for work, with consistent weekday hours and the potential for weekend work. We are looking for someone who can start promptly, lead a small team effectively, and support site operations to help keep the project running safely and efficiently. Pay Rate: £20.24 per hour PAYE As a Ganger on site, your responsibilities may include: Supervising and coordinating a small team of operatives on site Allocating daily tasks and ensuring work is carried out to programme Leading by example and maintaining high standards of work and safety Liaising with site management and other trades Assisting with hands-on duties where required Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations Managing materials, tools, and equipment efficiently Supporting site set-up and general operations as needed To be considered for this role, you must have: A valid CSCS Card (Gold or above preferred) SMSTS or SSSTS qualification Previous experience working as a Ganger or in a supervisory role within construction Strong leadership and communication skills A good work ethic and positive attitude The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Good punctuality and reliability It would be beneficial if you also hold: CPCS or NPORS plant tickets (e.g. Dumper, Roller) First Aid at Work certification Manual Handling or other relevant site safety training You must have a valid British passport due to site/client access requirements.
