Role Purpose/Overview


We’re looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Senior Compliance Officer  to support and strengthen our compliance framework within a fast-growing UK-based EMI. This role is suited to someone with 2–3 years of compliance experience in financial services or fintech, particularly within payments, card issuing, or acquiring environments.


You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business meets its regulatory obligations while enabling sustainable growth. This position offers hands-on exposure to UK  regulatory frameworks and close collaboration with product, risk, and operations teams.


Key Responsibilities


·      Own and deliver day-to-day (BAU) activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed timelines.

·      Lead the delivery of the thematic review programme, ensuring all thematic reviews are completed to a high standard, with clear documentation and alignment to regulatory expectations.

·      Assist the Financial Crime Compliance Manager in executing remedial actions arising from audits, reviews, or control weaknesses.

·      Deputise for the Financial Crime Manager when required, ensuring continuity of oversight and decision-making.


Key Skills Experience 

Essential 

·      2–3 years' experience in a financial crime role within a regulated financial services environment (e.g. banking, payments, fintech, e-money). xwzovoh

·      Knowledge of UK financial crime regulations, including AML, CTF, sanctions, fraud, and SAR obligations.

·      Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Team player, and strong work ethics
