Job summaryReporting to the Service Manager, and working closely with clinical colleagues, the Deputy Service Manager will deliver the integrated clinical, operational and financial performance for a specified Specialty.This role is responsible for ensuring national and local access targets are achieved, along with ensuring aspects of people, performance and financial objectives are delivered as per Specialty business plans. The Deputy Service Manager will provide local leadership, ensuring delivery of objectives and driving forward the service to improve the operational effectiveness.The post holder is expected to provide proactive and visible leadership. Leadership will span four key areas: service leadership, people and personal leadership, quality leadership and collaborative leadership.This job description provides a generic description of the main responsibilities of the DeputyService Manager role.This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity.
