Hours: 36.5 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–12:30)
Contract Duration: 12 months (potential to extend)
Start Date: June 2026
Travel: Up to 5%
Work Pattern: Fully onsite

Overview
We are recruiting for a Facility Procurement Professional to join a dynamic manufacturing environment in Peterlee. This role is key to ensuring the continuity of production by managing supplier performance and maintaining the flow of materials and services across the facility.
Working within a close-knit procurement team, you will play a vital role in supporting operations, managing supplier relationships, and driving improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a lean, responsive, and resilient flow of materials and services from source through to production
- Identify and drive opportunities for cost reduction, inventory optimisation, and quality improvement
- Contribute to business case development and risk assessments, working with internal stakeholders to implement solutions
- Monitor and manage procurement activities to meet targets for cost, quality, delivery, and efficiency
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve facility-specific issues and ensure continuity of supply
- Support supply chain performance through data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret and act on key insights
- Proven ability to define problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions
- Experience with Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) and material scheduling processes
- Supplier management experience, including issue resolution and performance monitoring
- Understanding of supply chain operations and ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication skills and proactive mindset
