About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing operation, providing effective preventive and reactive maintenance across site to support production performance and equipment reliability. Role Purpose To deliver high‑quality mechanical and electrical maintenance support, working closely with production and engineering teams to prioritise work, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical and electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repairs on plant and machinery Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules and engineering standards Support reactive maintenance and breakdown response to minimise production downtime Identify failure trends and implement actions to reduce breakdowns, stoppages and quality defects Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability enhancements Support mechanical and electrical project work as required Work collaboratively with production, engineering and supervisory teams to prioritise work Liaise with suppliers and contractors for technical support, spares and services Ensure Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments are current and adhered to Maintain high standards of housekeeping in work areas and workshops Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential: Apprentice‑trained or NVQ / C&G qualified (Mechanical or Electrical) Multi‑skilled mechanical and electrical capability Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering role Experience of proactive and reactive maintenance and PPM/TPM Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics Strong focus on health & safety, quality and continuous improvement Good communication skills and a flexible, adaptable approach Desirable: HNC (Mechanical or Electrical) PLC fault‑finding/diagnostics CMMS experience Welding (MIG/TIG), machining (milling/turning) Manufacturing experience within extrusion, glass or window environments MEWP, FLT, crane or side‑loader licences  Why Join Us?
