About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Family Practitioner (CYP Programmes) to join our multidisciplinary, supportive, and innovative team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a new early prevention programme supporting families affected by sibling sexual behaviour. This is a fixed-term contract for three years in line with external funding.
Programme development
Over a three-year period, you will hold primary responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of this new national programme. This includes:
- Leading the development of the programme’s theory of change and intervention framework, grounded in evidence and best practice
- Designing and overseeing a comprehensive evaluation, ensuring the programme generates robust learning that contributes to national understanding of preventative approaches to sibling sexual behaviour
- Working directly with families, using a systemic and whole family approach to help them understand and respond to sibling sexual behaviour, and increase safety and stability within the home
- Collaborating closely with the Research and Evaluation Team to collect, analyse, and report on data
- Using emerging findings to adapt, refine, and strengthen the programme throughout its lifecycle
You will be supported throughout by the Head of Clinical Services (Children & Young People) and by colleagues from the Research and Evaluation team.
Leadership of existing services
Alongside the new programme, you will provide senior oversight of our Inform Young People’s Programme, a psycho-educative service for young people who have engaged in concerning online sexual behaviour. In this area, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to the delivery team
- Lead on further programme development and quality assurance
Contributing to Service Development
As a senior member of the Children and Young People’s Team, your wider contributions will include:
- Providing line management, supervision, and professional support to staff
- Delivering family-based assessments and interventions relating to harmful sexual behaviour, to support the work of the professional services team
- Supporting the strategic development of our clinical and professional services
- Championing family based, systemic approaches throughout the organisation

About you
We are looking for a compassionate, skilled practitioner with strong experience of working with children, young people, and families around complex and sensitive issues, including harmful or concerning sexual behaviour. You will bring confident clinical practice, a strengths‑based and systemic approach, and the ability to assess risk, plan for safety, and uphold high safeguarding standards. You will be driven to lead innovative work, and comfortable collaborating with internal and external experts to get things right for families. This role needs someone emotionally resilient, reflective, curious, and aligned with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s values and commitment to child‑centred, safeguarding‑focused practice.
