Teaching Assistant – Make a Real Difference Every Day (SEMH School) Worthing & Surrounding Areas Not all classroom roles are the same—and this one really matters. We’re looking for a compassionate, resilient, and genuinely caring Teaching Assistant to support children in an SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) setting. The Role: Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis Helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour in a nurturing way Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams The Details: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm School hours only – no evenings or weekends Term time only Half terms and summer holidays off Where you’ll work: Primarily based in the Worthing area Opportunities to work across a range of schools in different locations if desired What we’re looking for: A calm, patient, and empathetic approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience with children or young people (preferred but not essential) A genuine passion for supporting those who need it most Resilience and a positive mindset Why join us?
