About the role
Coba Education is looking to recruit caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of primary and secondary schools throughout Northamptonshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or have transferable experience working with children or vulnerable adults, we would love to hear from you.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be required to:
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
* Assist children with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom
* Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
* Promote inclusion, confidence and independence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN
* A patient, nurturing and flexible approach
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
