SALT is supporting a global events and marketing agency partnering with a major international insurance organisation on a large-scale, multi-region events programme.

This is a contract Account Director role focused on leading the delivery of a high-value, global events programme, initially across Europe. The role will act as the senior client lead, overseeing end-to-end event delivery while managing commercial performance and stakeholder relationships. You will work closely with internal teams, including Account Managers, and senior client stakeholders across multiple regions.


KEY CONTRACT DETAILS

  • 6+ month contract, Outside IR35
  • Hybrid working in London (approx. 1–2 days per week in office + travel)
  • £300–£330 per day


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent events across Europe, from planning through to on-site execution
  • Act as the senior client contact, building strong relationships and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Oversee agency commercials, including profitability, resource tracking, and budget management
  • Coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manage complex event pipelines, balancing multiple timelines and priorities simultaneously
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues, ensuring delivery excellence and identifying growth opportunities within the account


ABOUT YOU

  • Strong experience as an Account Director (or equivalent) xwzovoh within an events or marketing agency environment
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex events programmes end-to-end
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, profitability, and client accounts
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different timelines and geographies
  • Comfortable working in client-facing roles with senior stakeholders
  • Additional European language skills (e.g. German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese) are advantageous
