Solar Panel Installer

We are working with a reputable client based in Ashford (TN24) who require a Solar Panel Installer to join their team. The position is a permanent role paying £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE). Working Hours: Monday - Friday: 7.00am - 5.00pm Holidays: 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) (Company vehicle + fuel card provided) The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Solar Panel Installer / Roofer Key Responsibilities: * Install solar panels safely on rooftops in line with project requirements and safety regulations. * Inspect, clean, and prepare roof surfaces, carrying out minor repairs where needed prior to installation. * Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to mount panels and associated components securely. * Support the assembly and wiring of electrical components for solar energy systems. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. * Perform on-site checks during installation to identify and address any issues promptly. * Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety guidelines at all times. Key Requirements: * Experience in roofing, electrical work, or mechanical installation is preferred. * Competence with hand tools / power tools * Mechanical aptitude combined with basic electrical knowledge is highly valued. * Welding experience is beneficial but not essential. * Good understanding of safety practices for working at heights and with electrical systems. * Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and handling materials safely. * Relevant roofing or electrical certifications/licences are desirable but not required.
