Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Salary: £35,119 - £38,000 (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: 4-day week (Monday to Thursday)
We are hiring for our client, a globally recognised and secure employer, who is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their team at their Belfast site. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Take ownership of production lines, ensuring key KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Velocity, and Cost are met.
- Lead the introduction of new products and processes (NPI).
- Conduct problem-solving and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations.
- Manage safety, quality, and process improvements on an assembly line.
- Identify, purchase, and coordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery, and capital expenditure projects.
- Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles throughout the product development process.
- Ensure accurate costing of new products through Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy.
- Coordinate and implement complex engineering changes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge and experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices, and/or APQP.
- Experience with assembly line balancing.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software.
- Experience leading RCCA investigations and implementing solutions.
- Familiarity with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems is advantageous.
- Competitive salary: £35,119 - £38,000 (depending on experience).
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
- Up to 10% performance-based bonus.
- Contributory pension scheme - employer doubles employee contributions up to 6%.
- Contributory share scheme - employer matches 50% of employee contributions.
