We are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy who are looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing Birmingham team.

This is a genuine senior-level opportunity, offering the chance to take ownership of projects, lead technical delivery, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The role will focus predominantly on major education projects, alongside a diverse pipeline of work across commercial, healthcare, infrastructure, and other public sector developments. You will be working on technically challenging schemes with a strong emphasis on low-carbon, sustainable design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects
• Produce and review detailed electrical design drawings, models and specifications
• Undertake calculations and system design across power, lighting, fire alarms, small power, and controls
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated design solutions
• Mentor and support junior engineers within the team
• Engage with clients and contribute to project meetings and technical discussions
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards including CIBSE, Part L and BREEAM
• Support project delivery from concept through to completion

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in Electrical Building Services design
• Strong background delivering education or large-scale public sector projects
• Confident in a client-facing and project-leading capacity
• Working knowledge of design software such as Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, Navisworks and MS Excel (Revit/IES desirable)
• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent experience)
• Chartered status or working towards (CIBSE/IET) desirable
