SALARY: £54,180 - £57,672 per annum inclusive of on-call payment plus Benefits

JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity to progress your children's residential care career as a Children's Home Manager within a growing service committed to developing its leaders.
You do not need to be a current Registered Manager. An experienced Deputy Manager with the required residential childcare and staff-management background who is ready for the next step can be considered for the Children's Home Manager position.
As the Children's Home Manager you will lead the home's operations, people, resources and quality of care, supported by experienced senior leaders and access to specialist clinical psychology input.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Children's Home Manager include:
* Home Leadership and Operations: Lead the day-to-day operation of the children's residential home, managing staff, budgets, resources and service delivery
* Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Maintain high standards in line with the Children Act, Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements
* Safeguarding and Care: Promote safe, child-centred practice and positive outcomes for children and young people with complex needs
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead, supervise, support and develop residential care staff, creating a positive and accountable culture
* Therapeutic Practice: Work with specialist professionals and use reflective practice and therapeutic guidance to inform safe decision-making
* Service Development: Contribute to continuous improvement and help shape high-quality residential provision as the service grows
* Resource Management: Manage staffing, budgets and resources effectively while maintaining safe and effective home operations
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* You do not need to already hold a Registered Manager position to apply
* Relevant recent experience in the residential care of children that meets the statutory requirements for managing a children's home
* Experience supervising and managing staff working within a care setting
* Applications are welcomed from established Registered Managers and experienced Deputy Managers who are ready to progress into home management
* Hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or an equivalent qualification, or be able to achieve the required qualification within the required timescale
* Strong knowledge of the Children Act, Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements
* Experience of direct work with children, young people and families with complex needs in a residential setting
* Ability to demonstrate the leadership skills, experience and suitability required to manage a children's residential home effectively
* Must already have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
* Ability to satisfy safer recruitment requirements
