We are working with a fast-growing roofing and cladding contractor based in Warrington, delivering high-quality building envelope packages across the North West, with project values up to £2m. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to appoint a confident and commercially aware Design Manager to take full ownership of the design function.

This is a pivotal hire for the business and offers a genuine long-term pathway into senior leadership.

About the Role:

This is a standalone position, taking full responsibility for design across all live and pre-construction projects. You will lead the design process from initial enquiry through to completion, acting as the key point of contact for all technical matters.

You will work closely with clients, architects, and delivery teams, ensuring designs are coordinated, compliant, and commercially viable. With no internal design team beneath you, this role requires someone who is decisive, confident, and capable of managing multiple projects independently. xwzovoh

This opportunity is also well-suited to an experienced Senior Designer ready to step up into a Design Manager position and take full ownership of projects.

About You:

• Proven experience within roofing, cladding, or the wider building envelope sector
• Currently operating as a Design Manager, or a Senior Designer ready to step up
• Strong technical knowledge and the confidence to lead projects independently
• Decisive, proactive, and commercially minded
• Comfortable operating as the sole in-house design lead
• Ambitious, with a long-term view to progress into senior leadership
