About the role

I am currently on the lookout for an experienced and commercially astute Procurement Specialist to lead the operational delivery of procurement activities across this growing organisation.

This role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective sourcing of goods to meet demand generated through the organisation’s online shop, while aligning procurement practices with wider strategic objectives such as sustainability, innovation, and growth.


The successful candidate will take ownership of supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement operations, ensuring maximum value is achieved while mitigating financial, operational, and regulatory risks.


Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Procurement Specialist will partner closely with the Stock and Inventory Supervisor, Sales Manager, and eCommerce Specialist to optimise supply chain performance and enhance customer delivery.


Key Responsibilities


  • Identify, source, and negotiate with suppliers to establish robust contracts and service level agreements
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and maintain strong, compliant supplier relationships
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement operations, including managing and developing a Procurement Support team member
  • Utilise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to drive efficient procurement and stock management practices
  • Contribute to and implement procurement strategy, tracking performance and driving continuous improvement
  • Analyse data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify cost-saving and growth opportunities xwzovoh


Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience in a procurement role
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret data to inform decisions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft systems and procurement platforms (experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous)


A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, along with a recognised procurement qualification such as CIPS (or equivalent).
