A leading UK-based engineering business is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across the HVAC and building services market.

This is a high-impact, senior-facing role focused on securing technically complex, high-value projects rather than volume-based sales. You will play a central role in shaping market strategy, developing key client relationships, and expanding presence across HVAC systems and long-term maintenance contracts.

The business operates as a specialist, engineering-led provider with strong financial backing and national reach, delivering bespoke solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within HVAC and building services

Build and maintain long-term relationships with end users, consultants, main contractors, developers, and key supply chain partners

Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial engagement through to tender submission and contract award

Collaborate closely with internal teams including estimating, engineering, and operations to ensure technically robust and commercially viable solutions

Develop and execute a structured sales and growth strategy

Target and win high-value projects across complex mechanical and building services solutions, including installation and long-term maintenance agreements

Represent the business at client meetings, site visits, and industry events

Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting

Act as a senior ambassador for the business, reinforcing a reputation for technical excellence and bespoke delivery

Essential requirements:

Proven track record in business development within HVAC, mechanical building services, xwzovoh or commercial heating

Strong understanding of HVAC systems and associated infrastructure

Experience selling complex, engineered solutions rather than product-only or volume sales

Established network across consultants, contractors, and end users is highly desirable

Commercially astute with the ability to manage long sales cycles and high-value deals

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable operating in a strategic, senior-level role with autonomy and influence

Full UK Drivers Licence

Willing to travel
