Salary: £51,500 - £60,000 + £7,500 Welcome Bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Home Type: 3-bed Children's Residential (EBD)
Service Users: Young people aged 8-17
About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children's residential home supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
You will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high-quality care, safeguarding, and compliance with Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Ofsted standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a stable service and drive positive outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the residential home in line with regulatory and organisational standards
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare of all young people is prioritised at all times
- Maintain full Ofsted compliance, including inspections, audits, Reg 44 & Reg 45 reporting
- Develop, support and supervise a high-performing staff team
- Manage staff performance, appraisals, training and development
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments and behavioural support strategies
- Manage budgets, resources and occupancy levels effectively
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools and external professionals
- Promote a nurturing, therapeutic and homely environment for young people
- Act as the lead for safeguarding concerns, complaints and quality assurance
What We're Looking For
- Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in children's residential care
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Ability to drive performance, compliance and positive outcomes
