ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Programme Tutor in Maths, you will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment that supports students to achieve their full potential. You will create engaging and inclusive lessons, track progress, and provide tailored support to ensure all learners — including those with SEND — develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement, taking action to address any concerns
- Provide clear targets and timely, constructive feedback to support learner development
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND
- Contribute to quality assurance processes, including standardisation and continuous improvement activities
- Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Qualified teacher (or working towards) with a strong Maths subject background
- Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally within Further Education
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners
- Ability to differentiate teaching to support a range of learner needs
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to track progress and maintain accurate records
