Electrical Estimator Location: Manchester, UK Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday–Friday Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 Company Overview Our client is a well-established and fast-growing technical services provider delivering electrical and building services solutions across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their pre-construction team. Role Overview The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial building services projects. You will work closely with bid, design, and commercial teams to prepare compliant and commercially sound tender submissions within strict deadlines. This role plays a key part in securing new work and supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed electrical estimates and full take-offs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents * Produce competitive and compliant tender submissions using recognised estimating software * Work closely with bid and commercial teams to support successful bids * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing * Assess subcontractor quotations and support value engineering and cost-saving solutions * Maintain accurate estimating data and ensure compliance with internal procedures * Attend internal handovers and support project and bid strategy development where required Skills & Experience * Proven experience in electrical estimating within building services (commercial or industrial projects) * Strong understanding of electrical systems including installation methods and materials * Experience producing take-offs and working with estimating software * Strong commercial awareness and ability to work to tight deadlines * Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
