Location: Barnfield Campus LU2 7BFSalary: From *GBP*33.90 (unqualified) to *GBP*36.63 (qualified level 5 teaching or above) per hour. Depending on qualifications and expertise.Contractual Hours: 12.00Basis: Hourly Paid

The School of Creative Industries is looking for an enthusiastic, industry experienced, and highly motivated Lecturer to join our Interior Design and Architecture teaching team based at our Luton Campus.

Working closely with our students, stakeholders and local/national employers, you will strive for continuous improvement and higher standards for the benefit of the whole community. We aim to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with contemporary design skills to be able to lecture across our large, flagship course. You will be delivering both industry skills and knowledge to our eager students.

Knowledge of contemporary design skills/software would be essential, as you would be leading CAD across the course.

Essential Skills/knowledge:

  • Sketchup
  • Enscape or similar
  • Adobe Creative Suite Specifically, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Digital visualisation

Desirable Skills/Knowledge:

  • Subject specific animation techniques
  • Blender
  • VR
  • AI

The successful candidates will be positive, enthusiastic, resilient and have an eagerness to seek out development opportunities for our course. You will also be able to demonstrate an adaptive and flexible teaching style to support and stretch a diverse range of students.

Teaching experience and relevant qualifications are desirable although we are keen to hear from anyone with the right skills and is willing to engage in self-development.

It is essential that our courses reflect industry practices, and you will be key in driving course development to ensure it remains relevant and meets contemporary industry needs. You should also expect to provide prompt, accurate and detailed assessment of student work at key stages during the academic year.

The successful candidate will be employed on an hourly paid basis, 12 hours per week, working across Tuesday, Thursday PM and Friday PM.
