Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Location: Truro, Cornwall Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Salary: £14.50 - £16.00 About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join a team in Truro. This role involves working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities * Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard * Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans * Cut, shape, and assemble metal components * Operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and grinders * Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards * Carry out repairs and modifications to existing structures or components * Maintain a clean and safe working environment * Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines Requirements * Proven experience as a welder/fabricator * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings * Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding (certifications desirable) * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Good understanding of health & safety practices * Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively * Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) Desirable Skills * Experience with stainless steel and aluminium * Previous work in structural or architectural metalwork * Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Welding/Fabrication What We Offer * Competitive salary based on experience * Flexible working * Overtime opportunities * Ongoing training and development * Supportive team environment * Pension scheme and holiday entitlement
