We’re Hiring: Payroll Accountant – Port Clarence (Full-Time, Permanent)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional to take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations across multiple contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Processing weekly and monthly payroll
• Calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Managing PAYE, NI, pensions, SSP, SMP, and statutory payments
• Maintaining accurate payroll records (starters, leavers, changes)
• Producing reports and reconciling payroll data
• Supporting audits and year-end processes (P60s, P11Ds)
• Creating and managing advanced Excel-based reports
• Ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations
• Handling payroll queries professionally and confidentially
👤 About You:
• Proven payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, reporting, analysis)
• Highly accurate with great attention to detail
• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
