Package Manager - Major Infrastructure Project Kent | £600 per day PAYE Umbrella | Inside IR35 Tier 1 Contractor | Immediate Interviews & Start Available A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Package Manager to support the delivery of engineering survey packages on a major infrastructure scheme in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong civils or infrastructure professional to take ownership of multiple survey and enabling work packages within a fast-paced, high-profile environment. The scope of works includes: Topographical Surveys Ground Investigations Utility Trial Trenches Weathering Steel Surveys The successful candidate will initially support the Project Manager and Engineering Director in finalising scope, procurement strategy, and programme delivery across all workstreams before leading package delivery through construction and handover. Key Responsibilities Manage health, safety, wellbeing, and CDM compliance across all packages Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery Drive programme performance, short-term planning, and NEC4 progress reporting Lead quality assurance processes including ITP reviews and compliance management Monitor project costs, budgets, change control, and commercial performance Support procurement activities including tender scope preparation and subcontract assessments Attend design coordination and RFI meetings, managing design changes where required Ensure environmental and sustainability requirements are met throughout delivery Produce regular progress reports for senior leadership teams Oversee handover documentation including as-builts, O&M manuals, and H&S files Mentor and manage engineering teams including Site Engineers, Section Engineers, and Sub Agents Requirements Proven experience as a Package Manager or similar on large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience working under NEC3 or NEC4 contracts Engineering or Construction Management qualification Full UK Driving Licence CSCS Card Ability to work within a high-pressure delivery environment and meet programme deadlines Project Requirements Fit for Work Medical Pre-Start Drug & Alcohol Test BPSS Security Clearance (Basic DBS required) This is a long-term opportunity with a highly respected Tier 1 contractor delivering a major infrastructure scheme in Kent.
