Advanced Paramedic Prescriber (Band 8a Equivalent) – Urgent Care Ad Hoc Shifts | Northern Ireland (Multi-site) £28–£29 per hour We are recruiting Advanced Paramedic Prescribers to support a well-established urgent care service across multiple sites in Northern Ireland. This is a flexible, ad hoc opportunity suited to highly experienced clinicians who can assess, treat and prescribe independently within a “see and treat” model. The Role * Autonomous assessment, diagnosis and treatment of urgent care patients * Manage minor illness and injury presentations independently * Prescribe safely and appropriately within scope of practice * Work within a full “see, treat and prescribe” model * Make confident clinical decisions without direct supervision * 12-hour shifts (08:00–20:00) * Flexible shift patterns, often in blocks * Weekend shifts available What We’re Looking For * HCPC registered Paramedic * Independent prescribing qualification (essential) * Strong experience in urgent care / minor illness & injury * Confident autonomous practitioner * Comfortable working in solo clinical settings * Able to adapt across multiple sites What’s on Offer * £28–£29 per hour (Band 8a equivalent) * Flexible ad hoc shifts to fit around your current role * Consistent shift availability * Higher rate reflecting prescribing responsibility * High-autonomy clinical environment * Established, well-run service This is an excellent opportunity for Advanced Paramedics who want flexible, well-paid urgent care shifts with full clinical responsibility
