About the role
SEN Teaching Assistant - Coventry and Warwickshire
Some roles are just jobs. Others are the first real step in a career that matters. If you've got a Psychology degree or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, and you've spent time in a classroom supporting pupils who learn differently, this could be the right next move.
We're Sprint Education, and we're recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term, full-time roles across Coventry, Warwickshire, and the surrounding areas. New positions come in every week - some with immediate starts when the right person is found, and others starting in September. These aren't supply roles. They're consistent, ongoing placements where you can build real relationships with pupils and start to see the results of your work.
What you'll be doing:
* Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech, language and communication needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
* Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs to deliver strategies tailored to each pupil's needs
* Helping pupils access the curriculum and build confidence in the classroom
* Contributing to a calm, structured learning environment throughout the school day
What we're looking for:
* A Psychology degree (BSc) or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - or equivalent relevant training
* At least 6 months' experience working in a classroom or education setting
* Hands-on experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
* A calm, patient approach and the ability to build trust with young people who may find school difficult
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the ability to apply for one
What's on offer:
* Full-time, long-term placements
* Roles across Coventry, Warwickshire, and surrounding areas
* Start dates to suit you - immediate opportunities available, with further roles from September
* Consistent schools where you'll be known, valued, and supported
* A chance to apply your academic background in a setting where it genuinely makes a difference
Why Sprint?
If you're looking to work as a teacher in a mainstream classroom, providing day-to-day supply cover, we're probably not the agency for you. But if you're passionate about supporting students with additional needs and want a long-term role where you can build consistency and see the impact of your work every day, that's exactly what we do.
