Hiab HGV Driver/ Machinery Mover

HIAB / Lorry Mounted Crane License Required. Please do not apply unless you have a license to use a Hiab/Fassi/Lorry mounted crane.

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated HIAB HGV Truck Driver / Machinery Mover to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently.

Duties: - Drive HGV HIAB truck to transport and deliver/ collect machines - Load and unload machines with HIAB and fork truck - Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections - Adhere to safety regulations and traffic laws - Maintain truck cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance - Work with team members in moving large heavy manufacturing machinery in warehouse - Installing machinery at customers OR collecting machinery from suppliers - Loading containers with machinery

Skills: - Commercial driving experience with at least 5 years. - Ability to operate vans and trucks - Proficient in driving techniques and safety protocols - Strong communication skills - Capable of heavy lifting when necessary - Competent in using Tachograph in cab - Well adverse to work/drive hours with long distance driving

We are a small family run business that deal in used industrial machinery, buying and selling across the world. We buy machinery that range from small lathes weighing 1ton to borers that weigh 40ton. Every job is different.

This position might not require you to drive for 5 days a week. Dependent on work load, you may only be driving 2-3 days per week. The other days, we would need you to assist in the warehouse, moving or preparing the machines for sale (including cleaning of machinery). Experience in driving fork lift trucks are also favored but not necessary. This is not a full time driving role.

This role will sometimes require you to start pre 9am and finish past 5pm, it depends on the job. Overnight stays are also frequent - maybe 2-3 times per month. Overtime pay or hours are offered during these busier periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £16.50-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
