Electrical Engineer Location: Smethwick Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Days Off (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) Job Type: Full Time The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering team based at a large healthcare facility in Smethwick. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical environment, delivering planned and reactive maintenance while developing your technical skills within a supportive and professional team. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks * Diagnose faults and carry out electrical repairs efficiently and safely * Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests * Monitor and respond to BMS alerts and system alarms * Maintain and repair electrical building services systems * Work on emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems and general electrical installations * Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations * Support the achievement of Competent Person and Authorised Person status through training and development * Complete maintenance documentation and reports accurately Requirements * City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) * AM2 qualification * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations * Previous experience within a maintenance or building services environment * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Ability to pass a DBS check Desirable: * Previous experience within a healthcare environment What's On Offer? * 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Life assurance * Employee discount schemes * Gym membership discounts * Cycle to work scheme * Holiday purchase scheme * Ongoing training and career development opportunities * Employee Assistance Programme * Employee referral rewards This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for a long-term role within a highly regulated and rewarding environment.
