Location: Filton, Bristol (minimum 60% onsite)

Pay Rate : £40.00 per hour Umbrella / £29.89 per hour PAYE

Contract Duration: until 31 December 2026 (with potential extension)

Working Hours: 35 hours per week (payment capped at 35 hours)

Overview

An established aerospace organisation is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Quality Specialist to support supply chain quality activities across complex, high‑value manufacturing programmes.


This is a hands‑on role focused on quality, supplier performance and continuous improvement rather than pure supply chain delivery.


You will work autonomously within the UK Supply Chain Systems & Equipment function, supporting supplier quality maturity, APQP deployment and operational issue resolution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead APQP activities across new product introduction, major modifications and transfer of work
  • Support industrial maturity across suppliers within Systems, Equipment and Structures
  • Coach and support Supply Chain Quality Managers in quality tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Drive supplier continuous improvement through structured improvement plans
  • Act as a focal point for supplier APQP self‑assessments and related projects
  • Support resolution of complex quality and supply chain issues impacting industrial flow
  • Standardise quality tools and ways of working across the supply chain
  • Support supplier and corporate quality assessments where required


Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in Supply Chain Quality within xwzovoh a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven APQP experience, ideally across NPI, major modifications or work transfers
  • Practical knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, PPS)
  • Experience working directly with suppliers in a customer‑facing role
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and proactively drive improvement
  • Experience across aerospace, defence or transferable regulated industries is beneficial
