Job Title: CNC & Manual Grinder Job Type: Days based, Perm Location: Poole Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm Pay: £22-£23ph DOE Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run precision engineering company with over 50 years of manufacturing expertise. Operating from a modern, well-equipped facility, the business provides complete in-house manufacturing solutions to high-spec sectors including aerospace, motorsport, nuclear, and oil & gas. This is a great opportunity to join a highly skilled team specialising in high-precision grinding within a quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities ⦁ Setting, and operating CNC cylindrical grinding machines (Not essential) ⦁ Manual grinding including cylindrical and surface grinding operations ⦁ Grinding components in aluminium and a range of steels ⦁ Self-inspection and maintaining high-quality standards ⦁ Supporting continuous improvement across grinding processes Equipment / Plant ⦁ CNC Cylindrical Grinders including Jones & Shipman Ultramat and Ultramat 1000 ⦁ Additional CNC grinding capacity across multiple Jones & Shipman, Okamoto, and Kellenberger machines ⦁ Manual cylindrical grinding (external and internal) ⦁ Surface grinding machines with capacities up to 500 x 600mm ⦁ Capability for both external and internal grinding with high-precision control Requirements ⦁ Proven experience in CNC and/or manual grinding ⦁ Experience with cylindrical and surface grinding ⦁ Ability to work to tight tolerances ⦁ Experience machining aluminium and steels ⦁ Experience with Jones & Shipman, Okamoto, or Kellenberger machines beneficial (not essential) Benefits ⦁ 25 days holiday + statutory holidays ⦁ Company pension scheme ⦁ On-site parking ⦁ Overtime available: 6:00am – 7:00am at 1.5x rate What next? ⦁ Do you have the experience?
